How to say thank you in a more and less formal way in the Polish language? Are there any other ways to say you are grateful for something?

Hi Alex, thanks for your question.

The most popular way to say thank you in Polish is dziękuję

You can use it in both formal and informal situations.

If you want to use something more informal when talking to your friends (like thanks or cheers in English) use dzięki

Of course in Polish you can also let somebody know that you are very, very gratefull by saying one of two:

bardzo dziękuję thank you very much

naprawdę bardzo dziękuję I really thank you

I hope this answer your question. We have a good answer when there are other common Polish phrases, please have a look: Basic Polish phrases.

Hi Alex, thanks for your question.

In Polish, formally or informally, we can thank you using the phrase: "thank you" or "I'm grateful."

However, when we want to informally thank someone, for example between friends, we can use the phrase "thanks":

Thank you for helping me move. Dziękuję Panu za pomoc przy przeprowadzce.

But it will not be tactless to also use "thank you" for a friend, for example:

Thanks Andy for the help. Dzięki Andy za pomoc.

I hope this answer your question.
