Thanks for your question, I'm happy to help 😀
Months are something fairly common to use in everyday life especially when living in a country and therefore even though I don't consider them as something too important, it's still something that needs to be learned eventually.
Something I would like to mention is the order in which you are supposed to write a complete date and how you should pronounce them as well. We write dates in the following format:
DAY/MONTH/YEAR
And this is very important because writing it in the wrong order can cause a lot of misunderstandings. Fortunately, the way you read it is quite easy if you know simple numbers because you don't need to use ordinal numbers like in English such as first, second, third etc.
Let's look at a simple example:
2/5/1985
We read it as "Due Maggio mille novecento ottantacinque" as if it was "Two May ...". Easy, isn't it?
Below you'll find the list of months with translations and sound. And of course some exercises 😀
I hope that this information will help you to remember Italian months and improve your pronunciation.
Please let me know if you have any other question regarding Italian language.
